Take a look at the editorial at the New York Times on Legal Education Reform.
The legal profession should have seen these problems coming.
What has happened to American industry -- the outsourcing of production to regions of cheaper labor -- a development often aided and enabled by the legal profession in the past, is presumably now a problem sitting on "Law's" own front doorstep, as the outsourcing of legal services and the economic downturn have reduced the legal and law-related job market among paying customers and turned the study of law into a risky proposition for would-be lawyers.

Independent Tablet Computer Product Test in Germany Puts Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Ahead of Apple iPad2
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 ahead of the Apple iPad2 in the eyes of independent German test experts....
The independent German product tester Stiftung Warentest conducts extensive tests on all kinds of products and in its December 2011 issue just published its tests results for tablet PCs -- putting the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 ahead of the Apple iPad2.
For those who read German see Galaxy Tab 10.1 von Samsung siegt bei Stiftung Warentest gegen Apple iPad 2.
The attempt of the patent trolling Apple firm to forbid the sale of Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Europe due to alleged design infringement is the paradigm case of how companies in presumably producing inferior products are trying to establish or maintain market shares against better quality products on the basis of greatly flawed intellectual property laws and erroneous IP judicial decisions, rather than on the basis of the quality of their products or their own marketing skills.

Monopolies, Once Established, Can Prevail and Prosper over Decades: IBM Continues its U.S. Patent Leadership
IBM is the legend, not Apple.
Nearly 6000 patents last year. No other company comes close.
At Forbes, Bob Evans of SAP has the story
IBM and its Stranglehold on Patent Leadership.
One might see that as a rejoinder to Holmes saying to Watson:
Thomas J. Watson:
"Once an organization loses its spirit of pioneering and rests on its early work, its progress stops."Thomas J. Watson

Patent the Web? 2011 World Stupidity Prize? We Nominate the WIPO Head, via a Story at Boing Boing (or) Why are the Clueless in Positions of IP Power?
Cory Doctorow has the story at Boing Boing in WIPO boss: the Web would have been better if it was patented and its users had to pay license fees - Boing Boing.
We hereby nominate the current, and in our opinion totally misplaced and out-of-his-league, WIPO Head for the World Stupidity Prize 2011.
One reason that the world's intellectual property is in such a legal chaos is because the clueless occupy major positions of power in the IP system.
