Google+ Project : A Flop in the Making?

Our comment: this looks like a flop.

I think that complicated and sensible but "canned" pre-organized social networking "innovations" are often unlikely to make much headway.

One aspect of Facebook's success is that it perhaps more-or-less spontaneously addresses the lowest common denominator in social interaction, so that most of humanity feels compelled to join it to be part of the grapevine.

We could be wrong, but it seems to us that addressing the lowest common denominator is the formula used not only by television programming in general but also by the Hollywood studios who have survived periodic cinema crises in film-making.

Just the description of Google+ makes one want to yawn.
