India Leads the Way in Adapting Modern Intellectual Property Law to the Realities by Introducing a New Major Copyright Reform

"[The bill] declares private, personal copying to be “fair dealing” (like US fair use) and limits the prohibition on breaking DRM so that it’s only illegal to do so if you’re also violating copyright."

"[T]he bill is consistent with implementing the WIPO Internet treaties in a manner that retains equal rights both online and offline."
