Former US Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor laments the drop in respect that has recently attached to the nation's highest court -- certainly a function of the court's increasing "political" nature -- but on the other hand evokes "political" consequences of the health care case as one reason for Chief Justice Roberts' deciding vote on Obamacare.

We continue to hold to the view that Roberts' vote on Obamacare will go down in history as one of the great decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court, compensating for many of the terrible decisions the otherwise antiquated Roberts Court has otherwise issued.
